Savor the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables of Kauai at the Kalalea Anahola Farmer's Hui

April 02, 2018

Colorful and luscious mangoes, lychees, Passion Fruit, Breadfruit (Ulu), Dragon Fruit, Star Fruit, Papayas, and Sugar Loaf Pineapples - such a bounty of lush tropical produce awaits you at the Sunday Farmers Market every week. In addition to beautiful fruit, the market also offers a large variety of fresh veggies, herbs, plants, flowers, leis, crafts, handmade jewelry, massage therapists, eggs, fresh honey, and plate lunches. Here, not only can you take advantage of a rich array of fresh produce, but you can chat with local farmers, artisans, and craftspeople as you browse among the items they offer for sale.

Founded in 2014, the Kalalea/Anahola Farmer's Hui is a nonprofit organization created to promote native Hawaiian cultural, educational, nutritional and charitable farming practices in the community of Anahola, as well as revitalize the area’s farming community. The Hui’s primary objectives are to promote the availability of healthy foods, increase agricultural productivity, and maintain and expand the community marketplace.
